I transitioned to Brand Manager of BKD, a national CPA and advisory firm, headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. My adventure there is still in the early stages, but the challenges of protecting and differentiating a professional services brand are exciting with potential for great experience and reward. Current challenges and experiences include:

  • Leading a team of designers, writers, developers, photographers and videographers through the overhaul and launch of a national brand
  • Balancing the expectations of a diverse group of firm owners with the needs and goals of our clients and prospects
  • Developing a branding and marketing strategy for a traditionally safe industry to grow awareness and differentiation


May of 2013 through november 2015,

I led the Communication Team at Central Assembly, working closely with an amazing group of people that shared a large collection of talents and abilities. Together we made sure any written or visual message shared to the church body carried a cohesive and unified identity. 

That meant I was able to work on a large variety of things. Some of them are conceptual and high-thought like working with the senior pastor on sermon series, partnering with department heads to find the best angle for an event, or developing full package funding campaigns (developing the concept, writing the content, designing visuals, and then implementing the strategy over a variety of channels) and seeing them exceed goals. While other times it meant getting to dive in and get my hands dirty by doing something like taking a crash course on HTML/CSS to develop a custom landing page and email or spending a quick and hard week to plan, write, film, and edit a video.

Working on a small team meant I was required to be quick, nimble, and a jack of all trades between print, digital, video, social, and environmental. Development of good processes, using tools to work smarter rather and harder, and clearly communicating with those around me were essentials to excellence.



July 2002 through April 2013,

I worked for AG Creative at the Assemblies of God denomination headquarters. My time there here a great opportunity to develop design foundations over multiple disciplines. The gamut of projects ranged from product catalogs, print and web advertisement, conference booth displays, book covers, brochures, and direct mail campaigns.

One of many key projects I was fortunate to lead was overseeing the visual strategy on MEGA Sports Camp, an award-winning kids outreach program with over two million dollars in sales at the time. During this project I was able to collaborate with a great team of designers, copywriters, and product development staff to help bring the sizeable project to completion on time and below estimated costs.

I consistently received above average performance reviews in every aspect including work performance, creative drive, communication, interpersonal skills, character and attitude.




My education includes an A.A. in Bible from Central Bible College (1999–2002), a partially completed B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Missouri State University (2002–2005), and countless hours of online education and training through Lynda, Adobe, and Treehouse.
